Our words this week are:
immense, lob, tremble
immense: very great in size or amount
"An immense crowd gathered to watch the parade."
lob: to throw
"Ms. Wall will lob your notebook to you while you sit on the carpet."
tremble: to shake uncontrollably
"He began to tremble as he walked into the haunted house."
Today we will write sentences with these words and tomorrow we will look up synonyms and antonyms.
We will also be learning about the prefix re- this week. "Re-" when added to a word means again, again and again, and can also mean 'backwards'. We will be looking at both meanings while we try to think of words that we can add this prefix too!
Practicing these words at home will help them become a part of your child's daily vocabulary!
How can you practice at home?
Use them in sentences and see if your child notices them.
Have your child use the words in sentences.
Stay tuned to see how WE are using them in class!
